Tohoku region is located in the northeastern part of Honshu. Also referred to as “Ouu region”.
Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata Prefecture, consists of six prefectures of Fukushima Prefecture. These six prefecture, accounts for about 30% of the area of Honshu.
